Susan Boyle

Someone over on the Salon TableTalk board alerted me to this link:

Two years ago, I blogged about Paul Potts, who went on to win that year's "Britain´s Got Talent" contest. The video in the link has that same heartwarming quality - you may tear up a bit watching it. The best part is watching the judges' reactions.

I just noticed, watching this video for probably the fifth time (yes, I'm a sucker for this kind of thing), that it has reached over 12 million viewings on YouTube. This pretty much defines the term "viral video". But it's not hard to figure out why - one would have to be a completely hardbitten cynic not to be moved.
