Final lap

Dateline Cork: Friday afternoon 5.30pm

I'm here, in Cork, on the banks of my own lovely Lee. In Jury's fine international hotel. Where they actually have real broadband service. Unlike the unfortunate "use your TV as a computer" deal in the Dublin hotel.

Indeed they do, but currently this laptop is working on battery only. So, unless I find the right kind of converter to be able to use these funny Irish plugs, entries here will have to be succinct. To the point.

But while ye are here, there was some speculation about your views on Thomas Kinkade, the painter of ...

there are lovely little converters available for the laptops (I have three varieties, which is bizarre, because I never go anywhere). Check one of the airport shops. And Wikipedia, which has a big ol' chart about power conversion.

Of course, you'll be back here soon, and it will be superfluous.
